The premium FiberSafe Microscope is used to inspect fiber optic connector ends, with improved performance. x200 is ideal for checking by entry level staff. Focusing is easier, battery life is longer. x400 magnification is ideal for high-end field use, QA, factory, laboratory etc. Operation is simple & efficient. X-Y position is adjustable, & focusing is improved. One-hand operation is easy, so the other hand can move the connector. Triple-mode illumination gives flexibility: Coaxial for high detail, Oblique for low detail, Core for continuity and sub-surface cracks. Screw-on universal adaptors suit most optical connectors, including duplex. Power is by 1 x AAA alkaline battery, with low battery indicator, or external micro-USB. Illumination level is regulated. A unique safety filter blocks red & infra-red, is eye-safe with VFL units to +20 dBm, & at operational wavelengths to +30 dBm. The eyepiece can be replaced by a digital camera.
